OpenAI has announced that its ChatGPT tool now has access to the entire internet, allowing it to provide users with current and authoritative information. This capability is available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers and ChatGPT Enterprise users. The browsing feature was previously disabled due to users bypassing paywalls, but it has now returned with exclusions for certain sites. OpenAI’s CEO and CTO expressed excitement about the return of web browsing. Microsoft’s Bing Chat, powered by a new OpenAI language model, also offers web browsing functionality. However, using ChatGPT browsing allows users to take advantage of browsing without leaving the ChatGPT interface. These new browsing capabilities come shortly after OpenAI announced the ability for ChatGPT to analyze images and conduct audio conversations. OpenAI has also released a new image generation model called DALL-E 3, which utilizes ChatGPT’s natural language processing skills.
