Adobe Research has developed a new tool called Project Music GenAI Control that uses generative AI to revolutionize audio creation and editing. This tool allows creators to generate music from text prompts and then have precise control to edit the audio according to their needs. With a simple user interface, users can transform their generated audio based on a reference melody, adjust tempo and structure, increase or decrease intensity, extend clip length, remix sections, and generate seamless loops. This tool aims to solve workflow pain points by allowing users to create custom audio pieces instead of manually cutting existing music. It provides deep control and editing capabilities similar to Photoshop but for audio. Project Music GenAI Control is being developed in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego, and Carnegie Mellon University. Adobe Research has a history of AI innovation and their generative AI model, Firefly, has been used to generate over 6 billion images. Adobe is committed to developing technology in line with their AI ethics principles of accountability, responsibility, and transparency.
