Stability AI, the company behind Stable Diffusion, has launched a new service called Stable Doodle. This sketch-to-image tool uses the Stable Diffusion model to analyze sketches and generate artistic renditions of them. Stable Doodle is designed for both professionals and beginners, allowing anyone with basic drawing skills to create high-quality images quickly. Unlike other sketch-to-image tools, Stable Doodle offers more precise control over the image generation process. It utilizes a Stable Diffusion XL model paired with T2I-Adapter, a control solution developed by Tencent’s Applied Research Center. Users can provide a prompt to guide the image generation, but there are currently only 14 styles of art available. Stable Doodle aims to save time and increase efficiency for designers and illustrators. However, the quality of the output images depends on the initial drawing, the prompt, and the complexity of the scene. Stability AI is pursuing new revenue sources with Stable Doodle after facing financial challenges. The company recently raised $25 million in funding but has not reached a higher valuation yet.
